Sid represents everything Greengates Gundogs aims to produce in a working cocker spaniel: a genuine balance of drive, temperament, and honesty with proven ability in the field and at trial level.
A very hard hunting dog who will face any cover, he has a gentle nature and that rare trait in cockers, an ‘off switch’.
Handsome, powerful and honest, he is a wonderful companion in the shooting field and is a real pleasure to train and work with.
Sid was second in his first Novice Trial and has, at the time of writing, secured 3 x Seconds and 3 x Thirds in Open Trials before winning the South of Scotland Gundog Association Open Cocker Trial at Emblehope Estate on 6th December 2025 and qualifying for the 95th Cocker Championships.
Fully health tested and PP clear, Sid is a proven stud producing some really nice pups who are showing considerable promise.
