At Greengates Gundogs, we breed, train and work gundogs with a focus on performance, temperament, and sound health. A small, family-run kennel based in rural Northumberland, our dogs come from proven working lines and are bred and trained to perform in the shooting field and at trial level.

A Commitment to Quality Working Gundogs
Owned and run by Michael Mole, Greengates Gundogs was established in 2017 with a clear aim: to produce working gundogs that are fit for purpose, hard hunting, healthy, and a genuine credit to their breed.
With over 30 years’ experience owning, breeding, and training gundogs, Michael’s approach to breeding has always been guided by performance in the field rather than volume. Dogs have long been a hobby (and a passion) rather than a commercial enterprise, and that perspective has shaped every breeding decision made at Greengates. Over the years, this has involved travelling the length and breadth of the British Isles in search of proven bloodlines and what are considered to be the very best stud dogs available.
Based in rural Northumberland, we produce working spaniels bred for performance in the shooting field and trialling ability. Emphasis is placed on temperament, drive, trainability and sound health.
